Traditional M215 Fountain Pen - Rings
The Pelikan Classic M215 is a modern, but traditional fountain pen in the Pelikan range.
It is the same physical size as the M200 and M205 models but is different because the barrel is made from brass rather than resin. The brass is lacquered in glossy black and then rings are engraved around its circumference which are infilled with palladium to give a bright silver colour. To finish the process, the whole barrel is covered with clear lacquer to give a hard wearing and smooth surface, with no level changes at the engraved points.
This fountain pen is fitted with a polished steel nib as standard, available in a choice of widths and with the option to upgrade to a 14c gold, palladium-plated nib for additional cost (select below and add a shipping note of your preferred width). The ink filling mechanism is Pelikan's trademark differential piston, meaning it can only be used with bottled ink.
The cap is polished resin which has a secure screw fit to prevent the nib drying out and also stay securely fitted to the pen. The cap has a 3 start thread, so it doesn't require many turns to get it ready to write. The pocket clip is strong, metal and shaped like a pelican's beak - which is a great touch.
