Stresemann was the name of a German politician who was famous for wearing grey pinstripe suits. Around the time the Pelikan fountian pens were released he was in the news and so the stripped Pelikan was nicknamed Stresemann after him.

The Pelikan M800 fountain pen is the second largest pen in Pelikan’s Souveran range and although not the biggest, it is still a large pen. The M805 is a large and weighty, luxury fountain pen pen which features an 18 carat gold nib with full rhodium plating.

The M805 has a partial brass internal mechanism, giving it a substantial weight. The metal trim of the pen is palladium plated.

The striped barrel body of the M805 is made from celluloid acetate which is a cotton derivative and so each one is slightly different to each other, much like wood has different knots and patterns. This is from the new prodution run, so the barrel is fully opaque.

The gift box included is also pictured and has a removable lid and an ivory coloured faux leather pouch for protecting the pen when being stored or carried. The pouch can take one or two pens.
