Returns Policy

Shipping Times:

We are open Monday to Friday from 9.30am until 4.30pm. Orders are dispatched each day at around 4.30, so we will to endeavour to ship any orders made before 3pm.

As we are not here on the weekends, orders made after 3pm or so on Friday, will be shipped on the following Monday.

 

UK Delivery Information

Orders within the UK under a total value of £20 will incur a postage charge of either £1.99 for Royal Mail 48 (hour delivery) or £2.99 for Royal Mail 24 - you are given the choice at checkout.

All orders of £20 and above will be delivered free of charge to any UK address. They will be either:

Order between £20 and £150 Free Royal Mail 24
Orders over £150 Free Royal Mail 'Special Delivery' Guaranteed Next day on Weekdays
Orders under £150 There will be the option to upgrade your postage to Guaranteed Next Day 'Special Delivery' with the Royal Mail for an additional cost of £5.99.

PLEASE NOTE:

The Next Day Delivery option requires the items to be ordered before 3pm and to be in stock. Royal Mail do not guarantee to delivery on Saturdays, but sometimes will. The Next Day delivery does not apply to orders made on Saturday or Sunday. We endeavour to keep the website stock up to date, however, if there is an issue with an item we will contact you as soon as possible to let you know of the issue and seek your instructions on the order. Some items on this website have a delivery schedule listed under the product and that information will override the above with regard to Next Day Delivery.

N.B: If you parcel weighs over 3kg, we will also contact you about arranging the courier due to the weight.

Courier Service

There is also the option to upgrade to a Courier, such as FedEx or DHL. This will typically be much quicker and have more detailed tracking than the standard Tracked & Signed For Airmail. The cost of this will be either £40 0r £50 depending on whether we are delivering to Europe or the Rest of the World respectively.

We can supply most products from the Pelikan range. If you do not see a Pelikan item on our website, visit the main Pelikan website at www.pelikan.com and let us know the details of the item you require.

Payment Options

Credit or Debit Card - telephone payment - Please telephone us on 01633 854 335 and credit or debit card payment will be taken over the telephone. Most major credit cards accepted, processed using Paypal.

Credit or Debit Card - online purchase - Just add the required items to the cart and follow the instructions online.

Online bank transfer - please contact us and we will supply our bank details if you require this payment method.

Paypal - Paypal payment is an option at the checkout stage.

VAT and Currency

If you live in the UK or an EU member state, UK VAT at the current applicable rate is included in all product and shipping prices and is automatically calculated at the checkout stage.

If you are not a member of the EU, VAT will automatically be deducted from the total cost of the order in the checkout stage.

All prices are shown in British pounds sterling (£).

Delayed Deliveries

We ship the majority of our orders via Royal Mail. 

For deliveries in the UK, Royal Mail suggests 1-4 working days for parcels to arrive. 

For deliveries in Europe, Royal Mail suggest 5-7 working days for parcels to arrive.

For deliveries to the Rest of the World, Royal Mail suggests up to 14 working days for parcels to arrive. 

If you find that your order has taken longer than the suggested delivery time, before you contact us please ensure that you have checked with your local sorting office to see if they have your order. They will not always leave you a card to inform you that there is a parcel waiting for you, but you can generally call or visit with some identification and they can give you your parcel if it is there. 

In the case that your order has been returned back to us because it was left unclaimed, it will be the customers' responsibility to pay for rescheduled delivery.

 

 

Returns Information:

Your rights to return goods are protected under the Consumer Contract Regulation (formerly EU Distance Selling Directive).

You are entitled to cancel your order and return the goods within 14 working days for a full refund, including the cost of INITIAL delivery. We are reasonable, so please get in touch and let us know the situation and we will do what we can to assist.

If you upgraded your postage for example to Guaranteed Next Day, we will refund the standard postage cost. You will be responsible for the return postage cost to us in the event of a cancellation and it is suggested that you use a tracked method to return items so that there is a record or the posting and delivery.

You are required to cancel your order in writing (by law). Please do this by contacting us by email and including your name, date of order and your order reference number. Your refund will be paid within 14 days.

You are responsible for the cost and risk when returning the goods, so you should take out enough postal insurance to cover the value. This cancellation policy does not affect your rights when we are at fault - for example, if goods are faulty or misdescribed.

Any goods returned should be in saleable condition and we reserve the right to reduce the refund value if the item have been handled more than would be reasonable to initially test the pen and as a result shows wear and tear. If you have bought ink, this also needs to have had no use more than a dip and no evidence of ink on labelling or boxes. Any item which is sealed (e.g. TWSBI or Colorverse Ink) if opened cannot be returned as the seal will have been broken.

Please thoroughly clean any ink from fountain pens and return all original packaging and items we included with the order for free.

We reserve the right to use mild expletives if we have to flush ink out of a pen that you have changed your mind about keeping after purchase and reduce the cost of the refund commensurate to the time it takes us to sort out the return.

None of these terms affect your legal rights and these are not diminished in any way.

If any term is held to be invalid under any applicable statute or rule of law, that term is automatically omitted from the terms to minimum extent necessary to comply with the law and without affecting the validity or enforceability of the remainder.
