Hi Ray, I bought an M200 in the lovely marbled green a few months ago; I thought you would like to hear my strange tale.

Yesterday my pen rolled off the notebook on my lap and landed on the carpet, it didn't even go with a bang. I picked it up and continued to write with it, when I finished I went to screw on the lid but it was stuck fast to the pen. It seems as it hit the floor it must have bounced on its end and jammed the lid down hard, very hard.

I spent the day trying to get the lid free: I used WD 40 to try and release it, I put it in hot water, I put it in cold water. I tried to twist it and pull it, I gripped it and turned it, it was jammed fast. I was quite certain I would need to buy a new pen - in desperation my father put it under the heat gun that he uses to remove paint! Goodness knows how but he managed to free the lid from the pen.

I just wanted to let you know that as well as being beautiful to look at, these are very, very tough pens. It stood up to all of this and doesn't even have a scratch. Needless to say I'm very relieved as I'm so attached to my Pelikan. Best wishes

Hi Ray, just a quick note to let you know that my pen arrived today. Being into pens I've amassed Sheaffers, Parkers, a Mont Blanc, and quite a few of the trusty Rotring Newtons, but this is by far the best I've ever written with. Hi Ray I am so pleased with the pen it is perfect for me. I have Parkinsons Disease and find that I write better with a fountain pen and this Pelikan has transformed my writing considerably.
