We can custom grind any Pelikan nib to your specification. This service can be performed on an existing Pelikan nib you already own, or on a new Pelikan nib (on its own or with a fountain pen) you would like to buy from us.

After you have paid for the service, please contact Matt on 01633 897770 or email matt.wiltshire@pelikanpens.co.uk to discuss exactly what you require from the nib and to arrange sending your nib to us (if necessary). Send your nib to:

Please ensure it is clearly labelled with a return address and a brief discription (if you have already contacted us) of your requirements is enclosed with the nib. We recommend you use an insured postal service (such as Royal Mail Recorded Delivery).

Please allow us 5 working days or so to grind your nib and send it to you. As nib preference is a very personal thing it may be that when you receive the custom ground nib it is not quite to your liking. Please let us know and we will adjust the nib to your request to ensure you get the writing style your are looking for.

The cost of this service includes a small amount to cover our costs of posting nibs back to you.

This italic nib, which I have put in my Pelikan M600 is first class. I am
very pleased with it. It is so smooth and puts down a nice juicy line.
Now, coming from a leftie this is some praise, which I am, writing above the
writing line, pushing across the paper and hand over what I have just
written. So, the last thing the classical text would throw up is why a wet
line, and an italic nib is about the worst thing this type of leftie could
possibly use. Most would suggest a minimum ink flow and a very fine nib.
How exciting!! I admit I was a little nervous about buying an italic nib
against such internet advice on the matter.

This nib is perfect for me. Ah!! I hear them say, carry on scratching and
skipping. Smudging will now increase. My answer, No, the nib solves the
former and using Noodler's bulletproof grade inks the latter.
